•What information do you have about your audience?
  The information I have about the audience is that they would be around 16-24 years old according to the type of target audience our thriller should be aimed at.

•What might you include in your thriller to ensure it appeals to them?

I would include scenes which would appeal to the audience so this could be scenes which are shot in areas which represent the UK.

•What advantages are there to making a thriller opening for this audience?

  The advantages would be that the audience we have would most likely be interested in the conventions of the thriller such as plot twists.

What challenges do you foresee in making a thriller for this audience?
The challenges I would forsee in making a thriller for this audience would be choosing a storyline which would meet their standard and creating one they would be engaged in.

•What are the key thriller & opening sequence conventions you will have to include in your work?
The key thriller and opening sequence conventions I would include would be building suspense throughout the beginning of the sequence and also including potential plot twists as well as this would really engage the audience.

•How might you include each convention?

   I would include each convention by simply adding a scene to the storyline which meets the criteria of each convention for instance if I was to include a build of suspense I would add certain music and sound effects to the scene which gets the audinece intrigued and hinking about what is going to happen.

•What institution is your thriller opening being produced for?
 The institution that our thriller opening would be produced for would be the film festival as this is where the opening would be showcased and also DTT productions which is where the opening sequence would be produced.

•What information can you find out about this institution?

   The information I know about this institution would be that it is mainly based in Michigan USA   and also that young people may tend to frequent this festival judging by the target audience the film should be aimed towards and lastly that it is a film festival meaning the institution looks into thriller films.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of working with this institution?

Advantages would be that we would be able to showcase our talent of filmaking and acting to the USA which could potentially get us more recognition however the disadvantage could be that the audience may become judgmental over the opening sequence and dislike it.

•Considering your target audience, what regulatory issues must you consider in both the UK and US?

  Regulatory issues I should consider in both the UK and US would be the films rating and if it is aimed towards 16-24 year olds then the age rating of the sequence both in the US and UK need to be somewhere around those ages as the content would only be suitable to those who are of them ages.

  The institutional information I would include in my text would be  where the opening sequence has been produces which would be the UK.
