D1 screen grabs of editing process

Here is the title of our film and although we decided to official name it Unsolved the edited version is called DTT productions film and this is simply because it is the initials of all my group members first name. As for the title being put on the the trailer itself we didn't want to add it onto the film because we as a group felt as if we didn't need to add a title to the trailer.

This is a screen grab of the sound/audio that was used in our trailer. What the team and I think is that the use of audio in general was used to the best of our ability because we used a variety of audio. We used dialogue from the scenes in the trailer but we also implemented sound effects and music. Since we wanted to try and replicate your typical gritty modern day British drama we added music which we thought would represent certain scenes so that it would give an edgy sound to the scene for instance if there was going to be a chase scene we would add fast paced UK rap music to add tension to the clip.

The screen shot to the right shows how we added text in the trailer to add context and give the viewers some understand that scene is intended to be a few days later. This is the reason we added it into the trailer. The scene where the text was added is after a transition so we needed to make sure the viewers had some understanding as to when this scene had occurred.  If we did not put any text here then the audience
would have been confused due to the fact that the actor who can be seen in the scene just recently got beat up.

The screen grab shows a transition which is why the screen is blurred because there is a transition. The transition is blurred and we added it to show that there will be a new scene after it. I used the transition because it gives context and meaning to the trailer and the audience can understand that the following scene after that is not at the same moment and the one before the transition.

As you can see the text here is shown to the audience for many reasons. One of these reasons are because we wanted to give the audience some context as to what was happening. This was a great way to tell the audience that the scene that the were watching is recorded at a later date because it shows them by the text that it says "A few days later".  Without this the audience would be confused as to what is going on in the scene.
