Mise en scene mood board
Props:
Fake Blood: The convention of this prop would be thriller as most thrillers contain blood. I like this prop because it helps add realism and simplicity. It is helpful because people do not actually have to be injured for blood to appear, we can just apply fake blood. This prop can come in during the fight scenes of the film. It is a relevant prop that will be used as the film is a thriller is set in modern London where violence is highly common.
Drink: This prop is a very useful prop that is used in nearly all movies, not just thrillers. The drink can used to show realism and detail of the film. I like this prop because it can help the audience know what kind of personality my character will have. It is relevant for my film as it doesn't add anything to the story but it will be used to add detail and realism.
Phone: The phone prop is a very useful prop that can be used in all thrillers. I like this prop because like the drink it can help add detail and realism to the film. As the main character I can use this prop to show the audience what type of person my character is. This can be relevant in my film because it can relate to the target audience who own phones and spend a lot of time on it.
Outfits
Hoodie: This piece clothing is perfect for my thriller because this clothing is usually associated with "Roadmen" or London gangsters who hang around the streets usually in black clothing. Hood are usually stereotyped to be associated with Black men affiliated with gang violence. This piece of clothing is very relevant to my audience because they may wear this type of clothing or they may see people wearing this as it is popular to wear in London.
Trainers: This shoe wear is most commonly associated with the youth so this will be great to include in the film as the film is about the youth. Trainers are also worn by Roadmen aswell so it makes sense for it to be included in the film because of its relevance. Preferably Nike trainers
Coat: This is another good piece of clothing that can be used in the film. This is because Drill artists and Roadmen commonly wear big puffer jackets or fur coats. So it would be a good idea to include it in the film.
Tracksuit: This outfit is vastly popular amongst the youthful and under 30s. This is a great outfit to include because everyone wears it and they can relate to the character wearing the outfit.Tracksuits are huge trend in UK so including it in the film will benefit because it can relate to the audience.
Locations:
Park: This is where all the schoolkids and sometimes Roadmen hangout. Its a popular area for leisure and occasionally violence to occur. This is location to include as it shows the gritty realism of how violence can anywhere and anytime.
Alleyway: This is a very dodgy area at night and there are usually roadmen hanging out here at night so this will be a good location to include because it relates to the of our film which is violence. It is also a secret of drug dealing aswell but that isnt going to be included in our film.
Streets: Roadmen usually hang around at the streets at night loitering or dealing drugs. This is a good place to include as violence is high on the streets at night. It can attract the audience if included because it adds a sense of realism and grit.

Sound effect board blog
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uHUGqTWhfA
1) Theme music
For the first sound effect I wanted to use a gritty modern day grime song to be played over a scene of the main character walking as this was one of the best ways to show the audience what the opening sequence would be about. People who have heard the popular grime tune would then be able to recognise that the film would be related to the sound effect which was used.
This is played throughout the majority of the first scene to try and signify that the area the character was walking through would be a typical street in London. Essentially we wanted it to look very edgy and interesting to watch so alongside the sound effect we filmed the first few scenes in a slanted motion.
The song itself is the instrumental of Skepta nasty which is a song that has generated millions of views online partially because of the rhythmic flow it has along with how catchy the beat would be. I thought that y incorporating this it would add a vibe that Londoners who watch the opening sequence can appreciate as the song is very popular and known by those who live in London.

2) chasing scene
For this effect I wanted it to seem thrilling and enjoyable to watch because the scene was very fast paced I felt as if it was necessary to include a fast paced song to go with it. Throughout the scene the music is playing and the whole idea is that the music goes with the scene.
Here you can see two of the characters on a parkour chase through the play area of the park ducking and diving in and out of climbing frames and slides. It is suitable as the sound effect fits the scene and it goes well together and I chose it because i thought it went well with the scene.
The song is Eyez top boy and this is a song which has been used quite alot in parkour chases and scenes which are similar.

3) Heart beating
I used a heart beating sound effect to make the scene more thrilling. The reason the sound effect was used is because in this particular scene one of the characters get fly kicked and we edited it into slow motion and because it is in slow motion we put a heart beat to make it more suspenseful. By doing so we thought we achieved a pretty good scene.
I felt as if it was suitable because it adds more tension and makes the scene seem more thrilling and I chose it because I thought it would make the scene feel better and look better to the audience.

4) Punching sound effect
The punching sound effect was used when one character hit another one in the face and I believe that by using this sound effect it made the scene much more engaging and entertaining. Originally when we filmed that fight scene you couldn't really hear any hitting going on so by adding this effect it not only helped enhance the audio but it also made the scene alot more realistic.
I chose this because I thought by adding it it would make the scene both look and seem better.
